Is there a way to generate a requote only with the added item?

Dear all

Under SAP S/4 Hana cloud Public, service quotation, there is a way to requote it. But doing that, the quotation is sent and redone with the complete item and not only with the additional item.

Is there a way or a different process to have a "subsequent" quotation linked to the first one with only the added item?

You are correct that in S/4HANA Public Edition, the Requote function always generates a completely new quotation with all accepted items. Currently, there is no out-of-the-box option or extensibility to create a follow-up quotation that includes only the new items.

The recommended workaround is to create a new quotation for the incremental items and link it to the original using the document flow, so the relationship is visible to both customer and internal users.

Raising this as a Customer Influence request is the right next step, as it is not covered by the current solution.

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud, when you need to add additional items to a service quotation that has been accepted, you can create a requote. Here is how it works:

Creating a Requote:

• Initial Quotations: These are service quotations without any relation to predecessor quotations or orders. When accepted, they create a follow-up Service - Creating Requotes service order.
• Requotes: These are created as follow-ups to existing service quotations related to service orders. Accepted items from the predecessor quotation are copied to the requote, allowing you to add new items.

Procedure:

1. Open the latest related service quotation.
2. Choose ‘Requote,’ which creates a new service quotation ID where accepted items are copied.
3. Add the required new items to this service quotation.

Important Considerations:

• Do not change existing items from the predecessor quotation: Any changes to quantities or other details of existing items will not be copied to the related service order when you accept the requote.
• Requote focuses on adding new items while maintaining the connection to the initial quotation.

This process allows you to manage new items separately while keeping the relationship to the original service quotation intact.

Thank you for the answer. The standard process is quite clear for me, reason of my question concerning the point 2

>>> Is there a way, planned by sap, available via extension, or other process available, that create a new quotation Without the first accepted items BUT only with the added one, in order for the customer to understand that this new quotation is a 2d part with a reference to first quotation and order in place.

If not then I will place a customer influence to highlight that this business requirement exist but it is not covered by the solution.
