Is SAP Business One version 10.0 compatible with Windows 7 ?
I did install SAP B1 10.0 on Windows 7, it worked fine excepted the Crystal Reports where I had an error smi18n.dll missing.
The solution was found on the KBA note
https://me.sap.com/notes/0003378700
and
https://community.sap.com/t5/enterprise-resource-planning-q-a/error-upon-preview-cr-layout-the-progr...
I cut the C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0\Common\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64, cut the file secSSO.dll
and now all seems to work fine
Hi,
If I am not mistaken it is not officially compatible with Windows 7. However, that only means that SAP has not tested this scenario, and as you have proved, it works.
The question is, did you mean that you installed the entire system on Windows 7, or only the client?
In case you installed the entire system on Windows 7, it may cause performance problems, and you can probably only use it with a single user, because Windows 7 is not a server operating system.
If you meant the client only, then if you run into problems, SAP may decide not to support you. However, probems with the client are usually handled by your SAP Partner, and they will probably help you anyway.
Regards,
Johan

Hello,
I did install the client, the server is Hana database which is installed on a linux machine and the complementary windows server is on a different machine.
So fare I only use it to read infos, not to write, so warranty is not an issue.
I would like to know if somebody use it in production mode (read/write).
