Is it possible to restrict Bill of Materials using Authorization Group at Alternative Level ?

In S/4HANA Cloud the Restriction 'Authorization Group for BOM Usage'  is available as outlined in the KBA 3217088 but when it is maintained for one alternative in a Multiple BOM , it applied to all alternatives

We need to restrict the Usage by Alternative BOM.

Can you please confirm whether this is Possible in Public Cloud, as we see the Authorization Group in Bom Header but its not working as expected?

It is not possible to maintain authorization groups in a BOM at alternative Level . If you maintain a BOM Authorization group in a BOM then it applies to alternatives of that BOM
