Yes, it is possible to create a sales order with a reference to an internal order in SAP ERP1
Define the Reference: Ensure that the internal order is properly defined in the system
Set Up Sales Document Type: Go to transaction code VOV8 and select your sales document type In the "General Control" tab, set the "Reference mandatory" field to the appropriate reference type (e.g., internal order).
Create Sales Order: Use transaction code VA01 to create a new sales order. When prompted, enter the reference to the internal order.
