Is it possible to configure the min and max memory allocation property for the Apache server?

It is my understanding that Service Layer is using Apache server in the background. I am unable to find performance optimization and tuning settings for setting min and max memory for the Apache server. Is this configurable for each node or at a server level at all? If so, has anyone found a link to a tech note or some documentation on this at all?

Would you please refer to the note #3139544 - Optimize Service Layer Performance first?

Unlike Apache tomcat manages min/max memory, Apache has more sophiscated configuration using # of worker nodes and # of max threads per worker node.
