Is it possible to assign different Message Schemas for Schedu.Agreement releases?

Dear gurus,

I have come to the situation that we are sending Scheduling Agreement releases to Suppliers by combining all items into the same IDOC. 

However I would also like to activate Generate Separate messages per item by activating it in the Message Schema assigned to application EL.

I have read that so far it is not possible to have different message schemas assigned to the same application so I was wondering if anyone could suggest/confirm if indeed that is the case or if there is any way that I could assign different schemas within the same application so I can fulfill  my requirements.
