Is direct SAP HANA database connectivity permitted in RISE - SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition?

Hi Team,

Our objective is to integrate SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition (RISE) with our Data Warehouse system, utilizing ODBC-based connectivity to establish a direct connection with the SAP HANA database.

We are keen to ascertain the feasibility of establishing direct ODBC connectivity to the SAP HANA database within the SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud RISE Edition. Your insights on this matter would be greatly valued as we proceed with our integration plans.

Kind regards, Vijay

Hello Vijay,

Typical ODBC driver support for S/4 HANA Private Cloud with RISE is supported according to the services guide :
https://assets.cdn.sap.com/agreements/product-policy/hec/roles-responsibilities/rise-with-sap-s4hana...

Here is the ODBC connection guide :
https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_HANA_PLATFORM/0eec0d68141541d1b07893a39944924e/66a4169b84b2466892e1af9...

I know that S/4 Private HANA Cloud customers have somewhat more access to their HANA DB than S/4 HANA public customers and HANA Cloud etc, but the HANA Enterprise Cloud operations support team(XX-HST-OPR component) would be able to assist where needed for the process if required.

Kind Regards

Simon
