IP10 Maintenance schedule plan process

Hi Team,

We are currently facing issue in IP10 transaction while scheduling maintenance plans.
When the start date of call is in previous year, we could see system is creating calls from previous year. But the calls are getting creted based on scheduling period and it is taking current year as basis and scheduling calls.
This is causing calls scheduled even after End date of scheduling as calls are getting started from current year.

For example,

For below we could see calls are scheduled form 2023 to 2028. But as scheduling period is 3YR, system is considering current year 2025 3 which is till 2028 to schedule calls.

Call Horizon      : 30 Day
Scheduling period : 3 YR
Cycle             : 12 MO and 6 MO
Start of cycle    : 01.01.2023
End date for sch. : 31.12.2030
Strategy          : FTMA05

In the below case, we could see calls are scheduled form 2023 to 2031. But as scheduling period is 6YR, system is considering current year 2025 6 which is till 2031 to schedule calls. But as end date of scheduling is 2031, business are expecting no calls after 2030 (end date of scheduling).

Call Horizon      : 30 Day
Scheduling period : 6 YR
Cycle             : 12 MO and 6 MO
Start of cycle    : 01.01.2023
End date for sch. : 31.12.2030
Strategy          : FTMA05

Please let us know if the above is standard behavior. If yes, We need your inputs on how to setup the calls to consider the start of cycle date (not the current date) and  to stop the calls at the end date of scheduling.

Hello @Sagar11 ,

1. The end date and end counter are not considered during the scheduling process if you have selected the Outline Agreement checkbox for the maintenance plan category in Customizing for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service under Maintenance Plans, Work Centers, Task Lists and PRTs  Maintenance Plans  Set Maintenance Plan Categories. Moreover, the system does not consider the end date or end counter if the maintenance call object is a service order.

2. Did you activate the business function to have call horizon in days? Test it in a system where business function is not activated. If it works there, then the issue may be related to the business function. Then please raise it with SAP.
