Inventory Opening Balance DTW to be imported as DRAFT

Hi guys,
accordingly with KB Note 3378584 I'm trying  to execute the DTW but I would to import in DRAFT mode.

The note doesn't mention anything about and the XLT model OIQI-InventoryOpeningBalance (neither the child file) doesn't have any column referencing to DRAFT where to set tYES/tNO for DRAFT mode.

Please, have you any idea if is it possible or not?

Thank you!

Hi,

I figured out that the needed table is OIOD. I found no way to import it by DTW. But you can import it from "Excel" (in real you need a tab delimited txt file (make sure it is closed when importing !!!)). Here you can import batches and serials as well (it is a bit tricky, but possible).

It is similiar to excel import Inventory counting. I could not find something for OB.

After import, you can save it as draft

Hi LoHa, yes, it's the approach I adopted using the items upload from Excel function in the Inventory Open Balance GUI. It's the easy way to manage also batches saving in DRAFT. Thank you, regards.

Hi,

normally drafts will be stored in the ODRF.  You can search for it in the DTW-Templates. I'm not sure that this Object is supported there.

Thank you LoHa for your replay, but it isn't. Opening Inventory is not saved in ODRF, iis the first place where I looked into but I didn't find any record. I don't know which are the tables. Regards.

Hi @dausto ,

Instead of using DTW, you can try copying the data directly from Excel into the system. Just make the necessary UI adjustments in Form Settings, then paste and save it as a draft.

Give it a try and let me know if it works for you!

Hi Sebastian,
thank you for your replay.

Nope, I can't, because I need to import also batches and it's not possible with copy & paste.

Regards..
