Inventory document numbers for items in stock

Hi experts,

I am looking to create a query that will bring me the document numbers of the items in stock (e.g. if I have 5 items in stock I would like to know which doc numbers (GRPO, goods receipt) they relate to).

I looked at various tables in SAP (OINM, OILM) in order to get this info, however, I am struggling to identify which is the table in SAP (if there is any) that records from which receipt doc the stock gets released from.

Would anyone have an idea on how I could achieve this?

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Anca

Thanks Leopold. I was afraid this could be the case.

Thank you all for your replies, much appreciated.

Johan, the Inventory Posting List report is very helpful, however the request I have has a variation. The user doesn't need to see all movements but only the ones that related to the number of items in stock. For example, I have 3 items in stock but numerous movements in the past, I will only need to see the 3 GRPO numbers. I think this can only be achieved with a query report which looks to me it involves a bit a complexity.

If you post a goods movement into your stock, there is no longer a identifier, from where the stock comes from. Therefore it will not be possible to identify this.

Lothar mentioned the same, there can only be an identification if you have a identifier for your stock items like serial numbers or batches.

Hi Anca,

if you really practice fifo, it could be a way, to get back the itemmovements until you reach the stock-amount.
But u r right, this query is not easy stuff

I already have such query, but the company doesn't practice fifo, they do hard allocations.

I created a report that replicates the relationship map in this way it will be easier to identify items that haven't been delivered per related grpo, however, one that shows items in stock with the related receiving documents would have been perfect. Not much I can do unfortunately.

Again, thanks all for replying to my query.

Hi Anca,

Why not run the Inventory Posting List report? It has a handy "Hide Items with No Quantity in Stock" check box, and it shows you a list of all documents (including GRPOs) that have influenced the current stock.

Hi Anca,

Try this query:

Select TransNum, TransType,BASE_REF as 'Document Number', DocDate, CardCode,CardName,
Comments, JrnlMemo, ItemCode, Dscription, InQty, OutQty, Price, TransValue Warehouse, PrjCode
From OINM
Where TransType=20 --- Goods Receipt PO

Thank you,

Aziz

Hi Anca,

the OINM (shows document-movement) table is the right way. The problem is you can't see the items movement if you don't work with serial- and batch-numbers. If you use them you can check ILT1 for their movements.
