We are having the following issue which is critical for Go-live:
We charge interest to customers for late payment payment by them against sale of goods. We have a customer base of more than 2500. Before raising the final debit note to customer for interest, we follow the practice of issuing proforma debit note to each customer. After negotitaion, the interest amount is agreed and then the final debit note is raised and based on the final debit note, FI posting happens.
We have been made to understand that we can raise proforma invoice in place of proforma debit note for interest by creation of separate sale orders. However, the creation of separate sale order for more than 1000 customers is not possible manually.
We have created a Z report in which interest for late payment is getting calculated for each customer. However, this amount and customer details is required to be filled in sale order for interest each customer wise which is not possible for more than 1000 customers at a time since each filed of that sale order is to be inserted manually.
Please provide us a solution for the creation of proforma debit note for issuing to our customers for interest which will not create FI entry and later we should be able to raise final debit note which should fetch details from the proforma debit note with editable fields for amount and tax rate and the final debit note should create FI entry.
Our implementation partner has suggested only the creation of manual sale order which is not a feasible solution for the business considering the time involved in creating more than 1000 separate sale orders and then 1000 proforma invoices for every week.
