Intercompany deployment with databases with existing transactions

Hi All,

We have SAP Business One companies setup with business partners and transactions - (without intercompany solution). Existing BPs including related intercompany entities have AP and AR documents. Can we deploy intercompany and still keep the same BP codes, old AP/AR documents. Basically does intercompany support deployment scenario for databases with existing transactions?

Hi Dick,

Yes, You can use Existing SAP Business One Companies in Intercompany Solution deployment scenario and You can also use existing BP Codes having AP and AR documents.If you want to use Consolidation feature then you need DB without transactions.It is recommended to use new BP Codes as branch representing Business Partner. However,you can also use existing BP Codes.

Thanks this helps and 2 quetsions:

Why cannot we use existing source databases for consolidation where we set up a NEW consolidation databse?

Another question is, is there anyway to prevent old AR invoices triggering new AP draft invoices as these are old transactions that need not create new entries when using same BP codes in AR-->AP processes
