Inter Company Stock Transfer Without Material Master

Hi Gurus,

             What is the process or step to transfer service or material without material master record between two company code.

Currently we are following purchase order and sales order process for the stock transfer between inter company for stock material(with material master).

Since system not allowing to create purchase order with plant as vendor for without material master.

Is there any standard process possible for without material master ?

Hi,

Why you go for STO process where it cannot be stored?

1st you should understand behaviour of material and service to the business.For Material, you can view it, order it ,receive it physically with a verification but in case of service procurement,service is an intangible material & as services cannot be stored, a material master record of this material type does not contain inventory data & stored.

In Service procurement, you need a vendor code where it can be measured as activities concerning to it.Like activities such as example: Consulting,Painting , Cleaning, road constriction, Reapair job etc.To Sale, you need a  customer code, but both are different process with its valuation, material type, material group.For Selling Service you can go for creating sales order with material with material type (DIEN material type) and sale it.

Not possible to my knowledge without a material master... You could create a material master as a "service" and set it up that way.

Hi,

For a STO Process using Item Category U, Material Master is mandatory. So you cannot achieve this through STO.
