Integration of CLM invoices to DRC SAP Public Cloud

Hi Experts,

Noticed that the invoice created from CLM module (Contract and Lease Management) is not flow into the SAP DRC and as per finding, this integration is not ready yet.

May i asked if there is any alternative solution for CLM invoices to report to the government?

At present, Contract and Lease Management invoices are not yet integrated with SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) in the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. This is a known limitation.

Here are alternatives You Can Consider

1. Manual Upload into DRC

• You can generate the required invoice details from CLM and upload them manually into the DRC reporting cockpit using the supported formats such as XML/CSV, depending on the country-specific requirement.
• This ensures compliance even though the direct integration is not yet available.

1. Posting CLM Invoices via FI

• Ensure that CLM invoices are posted into Accounts Receivable.
• Once the FI document exists, it can flow into DRC reporting since DRC is integrated with FI/SD billing.
• This is the standard workaround most customers apply until native CLM–DRC integration is delivered.

1. Custom Extraction

• If manual upload is not sufficient, you can build a custom report or interface to extract CLM invoices and feed them into the DRC inbound layer.
• This requires configuration and potentially partner add-ons.

Hi @Chris1973, we're exploring Custom Extraction solution, is there any standard Public Cloud API that could extract CLM invoices and be fed into DRC inbound layer. We tried searching for one but to no avail. Wondering if you've had previous hands-on experience on this alternative solution.

Hi @NajAminuddin, Currently, there is to my understanding no standard Public Cloud API available in SAP S/4HANA Cloud to extract Contract and Lease Management invoice data for reporting to the DRC inbound layer. This is why you did not find anything directly covering CLM invoice objects. Based on my knowledge, for custom extraction, you can leverage FI Document APIs or make use of Custom CDS Views. You can also feed into DRC Inbound Layer. Best regards
