How is the integration of a generic article and its variants from an SAP S/4HANA system to an SAP ERP system ?

Previously, to create a generic article, variant-forming characteristics from the material group or a characteristics profile were taken into account. As a result of a data model changeover in SAP S/4HANA, a configuration class and its variant-forming characteristics are used for the creation of a generic article.

There is standard consideration for integration with ECC.
