Integration between Training & Event Management and Personnel Development

HI,

My client doesn't have PD module. In this case, how can we update qualification after ther training is followed up. Is there any other way to update qualification catalog?

Please tell me the steps to configure the same Training & Event Management Module.

Hi

Without having qualifcations defined in PD , you can not run profile match  or training needs can be determined in the system.

So you have check the requirements and skills of person and position or career plannings needs and enroll the employees into the  business events.

Is it mandatory to configure/use PD for Training & Event Management?

Is there any other option available in TEM Module for maintaining Training Status or update qualification of attendee?

To determine a need for a training program or to generate training needs we have to set that with a qualifcation -proficeny

e.g X needs SAP HR trainings and you have a training course of SAP HR in T&E  , to populate the training need you have to set that a particular course /event need this qualifcation with scale yes or no for a against a given position in the org.

Hi Venkat,

My client is using PMS in dotnet application. (not using PD module in sap hr). For training identification, we are planning to provide interface between pms and tem.

Please let me know, how we can get the training requirement list and where we can store the training status after training is over to the employees.

Hi Naveen

Since you are not using the PD module in SAP HR.

The training needs and planned training programs in development plans and career planning can not be identified.

Most important is you cannot know the training history for the employee info type 0024 (Due to lack of integration from PD-PA , PD to T&E)

So may be a work around solution is required to update them in a custom info type for these details.

Check the HRP1001 info type where the relationship between E - P A025 exists then the employee participanted in the course or event and update them into your Custom info.

Hi Naveen,

Configure or use PD it isn't mandatory for Training & Event Management.

  1. Use T-code ooqa and create qualification group/qualification
  2. Create relation between course type and qualification.
  3. Book attendee to the course
  4. Follow  up the course,
  5. Those qualification that assign to the course will be transfer.
