Integration Ariba with SAP ByDesign

Has anyone successfully integrated Ariba with SAP ByDesign?

Hi Knut,

Regarding the SRM catalog, are updates in Ariba automatically passed to ByD? Or is it only if new suppliers are created?

Also, if changes are made in ByD for a certain Supplier, are they passed back to Ariba?

Also, we already are integrated to ByD to send in our daily currency exchange rates from the currency feed we subscribe to. Can the rates we send in to ByD automatically populate in Ariba?

One more question - is there any other integration between ByD and Ariba such as Org Structure?

Hi Paul,

What kind of Ariba-Integration are you looking for? Product catalog integration? ByD as buyer or as seller?

Today we offer a ByD - Ariba Catalog integration in two flavors:

1. Catalog import: You can import a SRM catalog from Ariba (ByD company acts as buyer).
2. Embedded ByD-Ariba Product Catalog mashup: Using ByD shopping carts and purchase orders you can follow a link to an Ariba catalog, select and check-out products there, and take over the selected products into the ByD shopping cart or purchase order.

You find more details in the ByD help center searching for "External Catalogs. You can configure the Ariba catalog URL and parameters in ByD Business Configuration > Fine Tuning > Option “External Catalogs”.

Beyond that, ByD offers plenty of B2B integration scenarios, web services, mashups and UI integration points that can be used in customer projects to connect to ByD.

Hi Knut - I know this thread is probably very old. I just wanted to know where I can find details to integrate BYD - Ariba with ByD as a seller. I aware that S4/HANA-Ariba integration can be done using CIG through the Ariba Network. Has this been tried for BYD-Ariba Integration with BYD as a seller? Thanks
