Dear Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well.
We are currently working on integrating S4HC with Ariba, specifically focusing on a scenario where Purchase Orders (POs) created in S4HC are received by suppliers through the Ariba Network. I have a question regarding the order statuses that can be filtered on the "Monitor Purchase Order Items" screen in S4HC.
Could you please clarify the difference between the "Missing Confirmation" status and the "Sent" status? Initially, I assumed that items with the "Missing Confirmation" status referred to orders that had not yet been confirmed by the supplier. However, I have noticed that there are also unconfirmed orders under the "Sent" status. Despite this, the two statuses appear to be mutually exclusive, meaning there are unconfirmed orders that do not fall under the "Missing Confirmation" status.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide a detailed explanation of the distinctions between these two statuses.
Thank you very much for your assistance. I look forward to your response.
Best regards,

Dear Customer,
In S/4HANA Cloud (S4HC) with Ariba, the statuses "Sent" and "Missing Confirmation" represent different stages of a Purchase Order (PO).
Sent Status: The PO has been sent to the supplier, but no confirmation has been received yet. The system is waiting for any response, such as acknowledgment or changes from the supplier.
Missing Confirmation Status: This status appears when a PO has been sent, but the supplier's confirmation (or response) is overdue. It indicates the need for follow-up actions.
Key Differences: "Sent" means the PO is waiting for any supplier response, while "Missing Confirmation" means the response is overdue. Once overdue, the status moves from "Sent" to "Missing Confirmation."
Thank you
