Industrial waste material treatment process mapping in PP

Hello....Experts.

I want to map industrial waste material treatment process in PP for my client along with CO.

Client has a requirement for process based costing. The waste is received from different customers and according to results of quality parameter the treatment process is decided.

Kindly suggest and guide me to map this requirement. Should I proceed with discrete or process manufacturing setup.

Process manufacturing is generally used for chemical or food industry. You should choose it if you need to use functionalities such as PI Sheets, master recipes, master data approval, etc...

If you don't need to use those functionalities, then you can use discrete manufacturing.

It seems that your process start with the receipt of the waste from your client, then it is not possible to use a planning strategy to plan at finished product level. In this case, you need to create production or process orders manually for your product.

Yes you are right planning strategy is not possible at finished product level. As per the coming waste material’s (Streams) quality parameters are checked and operations/activities are decided. So need to create a production order and choose feasible routing (will vary according to QC parameters).

During the operations some by products and Sludge are received.

I am thinking about final product (BOM header material) - can we consider sludge as a final product because after treatment & process main target material is disposed material.

And I require process based costing that I can get operation wise, based on consumed components and activities.

So please give your suggestions on this.
