Inbound delivery deletion: Delivery still contains handling units

Hello,

We have an issue with deletion of inbound delivery. In fact, we have create an inbound delivery, packed it and received it. in seconde time, we have returned it to supplier (borgr_c) and we need to delete this inbound (VL32N). While deletion we get an error message indicating that this delivery could not be deleted since it still contains handling unit (error message VL639). When we check on edit >pack we find that there is no handling unit even if we have an item for the packaging material. (item 900001). the status of this item (900001) still completly processed even after the return C. We had the same issue on shipment side but the solution was known.

The only solution that we have found is to change the status directly on table VBUP, but this can not be a functionnal solution. We have to avoid change on DB.

Could you please check and advise if you have a functionnal solution for this issue? OR shall I open an OSS message to SAP to investigate more this issue.

Mr.PPIO,

We generate a handling unit (VL02N). We delete this handling unit => then you can delete the delivery.

It's a solution given by SAP.

i would recommend to try to replicate this issue(s) in QA

for me it looks like one of the 'reversal' steps was missed/done incorrectly...

if you can't do it (to replicate + cancel in QA) please be ready for DB record(S) changing - which is not really drama I believe.

The return to supplier was done with tcode borgr_c and the steps were respected. Plus, i have reproduced this isssue on QA and i get always the sames issue.

The fact that i don't find a handing unit in the inbound delivery and i got the message handling unit still exists when i try to delete : for me this is a bug in standard SAP.

I check in VBFA, i found the handling unit number, then i check in VEKP, the handling unit still exists in the system. Nothing could be done in HU02.
