In Third party order, Created By ID & in PR, Created By ID's are different

Hi,

In third party order where item category is 'TAS' & schedule line category is 'CS'. We are creating order with user ID 'ABCD'. After credit release PR getting created in background. We checked PR with tcode ME53N where Created By field is with 'WXYZ'

As order is saved with user ID 'ABCD' PR should also get created with user ID 'ABCD'.

Please let me know why Sales Order created ID & PR created ID's are different.

The answer is already contained in the question 🙂

1. The order was created by user ABCD, but it was blocked for credit reasons. This means that the PR was not created at this time.

2. Then the order is released from credit block, but not by user ABCD (sales representative), it is released by WXYZ (credit clerk).

3. When the order is released from credit block, the PR is created.

4. It is not ABCD who triggers the creation of PR in this process variant, it is WXYZ, therefore created by for the PR should be WXYZ, not ABCD.

Hi Veselina,

In regular process sales person execute the order & due to credit block it is authorized FI team to release the order. As sales person created order; in PR also sales person name should appear rather FI.

This is the only case we are facing the issue, for other Sales area with same order type when FI team release the order, in PR sales person name appearing.

abhijeet_patil you mentioned that the behavior is different for other sales areas. In this case compare the execution of order release (with the help of a developer) and you will find out the root cause.

By the way, I tested in a sandbox (EhP4) and indeed, in standard process the creator of the purchase requisition or individual purchase order is the user who released the order from credit block (because at this point you perform ATP and purchase order scheduling).

If this is different in your system, then I can think of these explanations:

• custom code;
• the process steps are not exactly identical;
• mistake in the investigation.
