In system landscape directory buttoms backup and export schema are disabled

When I enter in System Landscape Directory I find the button back up of DB Instances and the buttons Export Schema, Schedule Export, Import Schema disabled. Why? How can I enable these buttons?

The reported issue happens, when :

-- the backup service is not installed

-- the backup service is installed but for some reason it does not connect to the SLD properly

Question: I cannot take database backup as Export buttons are inactive in SLD Control Center.+

Solution: Please make sure that the database server’s address in SLD Control Center is in the same format (IP or host name) as was used during SAP Business One Backup service installation.

This issue could also occur if the backup.properties file was renamed.

In case of need, please perform a Backup Service reinstall :

-- uninstall it via

/usr/sap/SAPBusinessOne/setup

and install again from the package.
