Hi,
What is the difference between one-step and two step???
In Intracompany STO process, mvt type 647...etc used...
Thank you very much.
Request clarification before answering.
If the receiving plant makes manual GR, then it is called two step transfer. If it is automated, then it is called one step.
thanks

Hi,
1. One Step Procedure: Stock Updation takes place between two destinations at a time automatically by using Single Movement Type.
Ex:if u put movement type 301..stock updation will be done from plant to plant.
2. Two Step Procedure: Stock Updation takes place at Supplying and Receiving Plant by using two different Movement Types.
Ex: movement type 303 is to remove the stock from plant 1.
movement type 305 is to post stock to plant 2.
hope ur doubt is clarified..
reward points if helpful..

Hi,
One step stock transfer means stock will be moved from one plant to other plant in one step. That means as soon as you do goods issue from one plant then this stock will be updated in other plant as goods reciept of unrestricted stock..
But the same way if you look into two step process the goods will be stock in tranist stock type but not directly into unrestricted stock..
that means here one stock is transit in stock once goods receipt happend then it becomes unrestricted stock..
