Hello,
If I purchase a fixed asset on SAP and apply a 20% VAT,
the acquisition value of my fixed asset is the amount excluding tax (HT), not the amount including tax (amount after VAT), so the planned depreciation is excluding tax, but that's not what I need; I want to depreciate the amount including tax;
For that, I performed an asset revaluation on SAP and defined the amount including tax, but always the same planned depreciation.
Any idea?
Exemple:
Fixed Asset IM005517
Excluding VAT: 22,000.00
Including VAT: 26,000.00
Planned Depreciation: 122.00
Desired Depreciation: 144.00
Regards.

Hi mari_outtaleb,
It appears the current system definition (by design) that the VAT is excluded from Fixed Assets value. Therefore, when you add AP Invoice for a fixed asset, with VAT (any type of VAT, deductible or non-deductible), asset acquisition value will only include 'net' value.
As a workaround, you may consider creating a Sub-Acquisition (via Fixed Assets > Capitalization) to add the value of VAT to the asset. Please consult with company accountant to verify such posting is OK in your case.
