IDOC to create Inbound delivery with auxiliary packaging material in HU failing

Hello experts,

I want to create standard inbound ASN IDOC to create Inbound delivery with Handling units. I want to add a auxiliary packaging material in HU. I am using all standard segments and data eliments to create the IDOC. I am using E1EDL44 segment for HU line items. If I use E1EDL44 one with VELIN=1, I am able to create an Inbound delivery with a packed HU. But if I add E1EDL44 with VELIN=2 for auxiliary packaging material, the IDOC is failing.

Below are IDOC details and segment details I am using.

Basic type: DELVRY07

Message Type: DESADV

Partn.Type: LS

E1EDL44 segment details,

VELIN=2

VEMNG=1

VEMEH=EA

MATNR=auxiliary packaging material

WERKS=Plant

MATNR_EXTERNAL= auxiliary packaging material

Instead of populating the material number in MATNR, try adding it in KDMAT with leading zeroes (making it 18 digits long). This worked for me:

VELIN=2

VEMNG=1

VEMEH=EA

KDMAT=auxiliary packaging material WITH LEADING ZEROES.
