After the latest system upgrade to release 2502, we are facing an issue with new postings to a GL account. The error "Account is Blocked for Posting" is raised and the GL account involved is a zero balance clearing account.
The error is mostly encountered as "Error in Account Determination for zero balance clearing account" and "Account is Blocked for Posting" due to which it is not possible to make postings to the GL account and post the journal entries.
Checking the account masterdata it is noted that the account has Blocked for posting=Yes setting enabled.

In the new 2502 release, SAP Public Cloud Development have introduced a new check for zero-balance clearing accounts to check whether the derived account is blocked for posting. An error is raised if it is found to be blocked.
This is in contrast to previous releases where it was possible to make postings to zero-balance clearing accounts even if the account has setting Blocked for posting=Yes in the account masterdata. The previous logic in releases 2408 and before allowed this as zero-balance clearing accounts are not posted to directly in entry view, they are posted to in general ledger view indirectly only due to document splitting requirements.
As a result in this change in logic, all zero-balance clearing accounts in 2502 production tenants should not have a blocked status in the account masterdata in order to allow ongoing postings.
