How To USE QAC2?

Hi Team.

I am new to SAP and I need to transfer inventory from one Storage Location to another while it's under a "Quality Inspection" designation. I have been looking into Transaction [QAC2]. This looks like it might be exactly what I need, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to use it, and there are no tutorials online for this transaction. 

Example: SKU: "APPLE" Lot/Batch#: "D1" [currently under Quality inspection] ______________________ Plant [01]_Storage location [A]      >> To >>      Plant [01]_Storage location [B]. 

[Screenshot below] I have tried to change the locations in RED but the system won't let me and I am able to change the location in YELLOW but i get the error message "Material 4197908 US03 P3C3 does not exist". Please can someone make a tutorial or walk me through this transaction? 🙂

Hi,

 It looks like the material 4197908 does not in plant US03 and Storage location P3C3. You might want to extend the material to the plant/storage location and then execute this transfer step.

Can you please go into more detail about this "Extend" process you mentioned?

By extend, I meant creating the material data in the plant and storage location.

Interesting. How would I begin to create material data in the plant and storage location? And once this is done do you believe that entering in the new SLOC in the Yellow boxed field would work?

Creating the material data with transaction MM01 for the mentioned storage location. As in order to be able to store a material in a storage location the data for that material-storage location combination should exist. When the material is created for the storage location you can transfer the stock with attached inspection lot to that storage location with transaction QAC2.

After Some more trial and error it looks like the location in the yellow field was the correct destination location to input and that as you said the location and the material but first be set up as a pair before the material can actually be transferred.
