How to transfer the material EWM storage bin to Kitting location(Production location)

Hi,

The procured raw material is stored in the warehouse using storage bins. I have created a production order, and the system automatically generates a reservation against the production order. In this case, only the material can be issued to the production order using movement type 261. However, my requirement is to initially transfer the material to the kitting area against the production order before issuing it to the production order.

Please let me know how to handle this scenario.

You should be able to move the material from the raw material bin to the production supply staging area via the staging warehouse task.

Please refer to the Scope Item 3DV - Warehouse Production Integration (https://me.sap.com/processnavigator/SolS/EARL_SolS-013/2502/SolP/3DV?region=US).

In the 3DV test script you will find the setup details in the Preliminary Steps section.

Hi, If Production location is IM managed (Non-EWM) and raw material is at EWM managed location. You may consider with scope item 3DV. If both production location and raw material location are EWM managed, you may consider scope item 5HO. Both are delivery relevant, you can use delivery to do the staging and move the raw material stock to production location first then do consumption.
