How to terminate an employee in S/4HANA Cloud

Dear SAP Support,

We're currently using an SAP on-premise system, and in it, a lot of Personnel Administration (PA) functionalities. We're planning to move to SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition though, and with the migration, we have a doubt.

In the on-premise system, we have the termination action to terminate an employment and update the employment status to withdrawn or inactive. We would like to know then:

• What's the process to terminate (not delete) an employee and have its status set to inactive in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition?

I'd like to quickly link one of our official documentation pages, below:

• Manage Workforce > How to Create and Correct Work Agreements | SAP Help Portal

In it, it's stated that:

• You can't delete an existing work agreement, you can only terminate a work agreement by changing the end date.

This means that, to terminate an work agreement, you'd simply need to change its end date in the Manage Workforce Fiori application. Additionally, how to do this is also explained in the same page:

• If you need to correct the End Date or the Is Contingent Worker of fields for the initial employment, choose Edit and change the date directly on the UI.
