I have a story in which the rows come from a model created from an imported BYD report.
I then create rows that sum the rows above them.
The issue is that the rows that get summed might change as the model is updated and the question is how can i create a dynamic sum that will add to itself new rows(test) as they get added without my intervention?
Thanks in advance.
Hello 101ger,
I am assuming you already know how to show totals in table with respect to dimension. Here are steps in case this is first time.
KBA - 2540008 - How to use and customize totals in SAP Analytics Cloud?
Your scenario requires sub totals instead of grand total. Best way to address your requirement is to create an hierarchy (parent child) on Account (G/L) dimension. You can upload flat file or manually assign hierarchy nodes.

Once you have hierarchy setup ready, your totals will always follow predefined hierarchy rule. See if you have hierarchy already maintained in ByD. If so it will be a simple import.
