How to set up posting date for Material Inventory Migration object

Dear SAP support,

We have maintained Migration Key Date in the app Define Settings for Legacy Data Transfer but this Date is not considered in the migrations of Inventory. The system uses current date as a posting date. Could you please check?

Thank you for reaching out and for your patience as we address your concern.

The system is currently using the current date as the posting date because the warehouse number has been assigned to the plant or storage location before migrating the inventory balances.

According to our help documentation which can be found here: https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_S4HANA_CLOUD/d5699934e7004d048c4801b552f3b013/476cf31fd1e046a0889bc3ef..., the inventory balances should be migrated before assigning the warehouse number to ensure the correct posting date is used.

To resolve this, we recommend following the migration steps outlined in the help document.

If you want to have a different posting date than current date, you have to maintain it in table FINS_MIG_CTRL_1. This will solve the issue in the migration cockpit
