How to read/save AL11 file in ABAP Cloud

I would like to know how to access AL11 files in Cloud system. Earlier OPEN DATASET/CLOSE DATASET were the syntax to open and close file. Is that still valid syntax to access file?

AL11 doesn't exist in ABAP Cloud. Very simple to answer the question if OPEN DATASET is permitted: read the ABAP Cloud documentation. Now, if you go one step further, who asked you to store to "AL11"? What is your exact requirement?

In ECC there was a very generic requirement to save the data in application server then access later. If we want to replicate same in Cloud then how to achieve it?
