How to post UD for inspection lot with serial number management by using API?

I used the API /A_InspLotUsageDecision to create UD for my inspection lot with serial number.

• The serial number is already given during the GR.
• My UD code is linked to automatic stock posting & EWM follow-up action.
• I don't have the pop-up screen in the front-end if I perform the UD manually.

However, I received error message QV / 053 and it says 'UD and stock postings for lot 170000000803 require manual serial number assignment'

How does it happen? Is there a way to solve it?

Hello Albert,

Thank you very much for your answer.

However,  the lot is triggered with inspection origin 17 which means it is not stock relevant in my case.

We will use follow up action which is linked to the UD code to initiate the stock transfer in EWM system.

In such case, I doubt that the API Create Usage Decision is the only option for us to complete both UD and stock movement and it could not work for the material managed with serial number...
