How to migrate data with CDS view behaviour LTMOM

Hello,

can someone please explain to me how I can migrate data with CDS view behaviours? I can't find anything online for this topic. I created an migrationobject over LTMOM and chose A_BANK_3 as CDS view behaviour. I've created a short sourcestructure with only the keyfields and mapped to the A_BANK_3 view for testing. I did download the template file and filled some testing values. But now i'm stuck. Whats the next step? How can I simulate data? Maybe somone could give me a step by step guide on how to use this method correctly. Thank you very much.

Hey Alex,

yes of course! 

in the Migrate Your Data App you follow the actions: Download Template, Upload Template, Prepare, Mapping Tasks, SIMULATE, Migrate. 

CDS views and RAP include automatically the simulation, no need to have the "simulation" section in LTMOM:

Hi Sybille, thank you very much for the help. I tried to migrate with A_BANK_3 but without succes. I did all the steps you described. I also used the same test banks in the standard migration object for banks. There I didnt get any Errors. Is there any way to check if I use the correct view behaviour?

Hi Sybille, after checking for other views I came across the I_BANKTP. This seems to be the correct view behaviour. But now I get this Error Message: Zwei interne Tabellen sind weder kompatibel noch konvertierbar. (Konvertierungsobjekt Z_ZBANK_NEW_LKR_OAD) MSGClass: DMC_RT_MSG MSGNo: 41. I don't know what to do with this 😞

first I am wondering: you are logged on in english and get the error message in german?

Hi Alex,

when you create a migration object based on a CDS View - there is not difference then using an API. You need to do the structure mapping, field mapping, then go to Migrate Your Data app and proceed here with download, populate excel and upload. 

Where are you stuck? After creating the object in the backend system, close LTMOM and proceed in Fiori app.
