How to make Expenses from Cost Centers become Costs in WBS

Hello Experts,

My client has a scenario already implemented and I need to give them a better solution.

Currently, they are making CO distribution from Cost Centers to WBS using KSV5.

They have Cost Elements Category 1 for Cost Centers, and Category 1 for WBS. When the post is on a Cost Center, they consider an Expense. When they the post hits a WBS, they consider a COST.

They need to change the cost element/GL account from Expense to Cost (both are category 1), when transferring from Cost Center to WBS. Doing this using User Exit, is not a good solution in my opinion.

I need to know if Results Analysis could give me the option to make Expenses from Cost Centers become Costs in a WBS. (it could be a category 12 cost element).

Or if there are any other standard solutions for this scenario.

Kind Regards

Mayumi Blak

It looks like projects consume internal labor from departments (what else they can consume? anything else will get there directly), that is a classic scenario at least. The best way to capture internal labor from the organizational structure is with Activity allocation. And the best tool for that type of allocation is CATS.

Results Analysis will not do what you are asking. A better forum for your period close distribution question is the FIN or FIN Controlling.
