Hi Team,
We are configuring S4 HANA Grow with SAP Public Cloud for demo purposes without implementing the WM module.
How we can make a freight order ready for posting without WM module?
We are requesting confirmation if WM module implementation is mandatory or if there is an alternative solution.

To make a freight order ready for posting without the Warehouse Management (WM) module, you need to follow these steps:
Create Freight Units: When you create or edit sales orders, the system automatically creates freight units considering freight unit building rules. You can view these freight units in the ‘Manage Freight Units’ app or in the transportation cockpit.
Create a Freight Document: You can create a freight document based on freight units using the ‘Transportation Cockpit’ app. Alternatively, you can create a freight document using the list view of the apps in the Freight Order Management area. You can then assign freight units to these freight documents.
Edit and Enhance the Freight Document: Open the ‘Manage Freight Orders’ app, search for your freight document and select it for editing in the detailed view of the app.
Perform Charge Calculation: When you save your freight document, the system calculates the charges automatically. However, you can also trigger charge calculation manually from the list view or detailed view of the ‘Manage Freight Orders’ app.
Set the Ready for Transportation Execution status: Set the ‘Ready for Transportation Execution’ status on the header level of the freight document.
Perform Subcontracting and Send the Freight Document to the Carrier: You can also send shipping notifications to the carrier. The communication is performed via EDI messages.
Create Deliveries for the Freight Document: You can create deliveries based on the freight orders.
Track the Execution of the Freight Order: Open the ‘Monitor Execution - Freight Orders’ app from the launchpad. When the truck has arrived at your location, set the handling execution status for your transportation stage and source location to ‘Arrived’ using the ‘Execution Status (Source)’ dropdown menu. When the papers of the truck have been checked successfully, set the handling execution status to ‘Checked In’. When the goods have been loaded, set the handling execution status to ‘Checked Out’.
Post Accruals for Transportation Costs: Using the ‘Monitor Accrual Postings - Freight Orders’ app, you can confirm the freight orders that are ready for accrual posting to Financial Accounting
