Hello experts, I purchase pipe for the oil industry, then resell. The pipe has varying lengths, widths, grades of steel etc. I don't want to enter a unique Product ID for every varying length of the same pipe. Product Specifications are great on the sales side, but this is not supported on the procurement side. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to handle the same item with varying lengths and other properties, for both purchase and sales?
Ideally, I would like to purchase "Pipe" then upon receipt, enter the unique properties of the varying pieces. Example, I receive 23 J55 Steel pipes. All 23 pipes are the same, except they vary in length.
Thank you!

Hi Michael,
You can use product specification in purchase process also.
you will find it under Item tab => Basic data when you select a product marked as product specification in the master data.
Best regards,
