My company has some leftover materials 10~15% left over material from the project and is laying in the warehouse storage areas.
Our management decided to bring back leftover materials as valuated with the cost price of $1, these group of materials are already charged out by project.
Can you advise in outside real world , how should we manage those leftover materials bring it to stock with costs price of $1 ? Any financial implication on the finance side?
i went to research , forum suggest to use valuation split , or create a new plant to handle those leftover materials ?
What is the best practices ?
