How to display the field "Trademark" in the "Manage Product Master Data" app?

The "Product" information has a native field "MARA-BRAND_ID". How can I display and edit this field in the "Manage Product Master Data" app? The field is only 4 characters long—how can I save a longer trademark name? How do I add this field in the "Data Migration" - "Product" template?

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, the field MARA-BRAND_ID is a standard 4-character identifier for brands. Here's how it works across the system:

1. Display/Edit in "Manage Product Master Data" App:

   • The BRAND_ID field is not shown by default.

   • To make it visible/editable, use the "Custom Fields and Logic" app (In-App Extensibility), if the field is extensible in the app.

2. Longer Trademark Names:

   • Since BRAND_ID only supports 4 characters, use Product Descriptions (MAKT-MAKTX) or create a custom field to store full trademark or brand names.

3. Adding the Field in the Data Migration Template:

   • The standard "Product" migration template does not include BRAND_ID.

   • If needed, create a custom field and enable it for migration using the Custom Fields and Logic app, then regenerate the template in "Migrate Your Data".

Important: Direct editing of the MARA table isn't possible in the cloud edition;
