How to determine a storage location based on a cost center

Hi,

When I'm automatically creating a material document (MIGO) I need to determine the storage location based on the cost center. How can I solve this problem?

Just from a pure process perspective, if you use a cost center, it means you are incurring an expense and the material is issued for consumption directly. Why would you use a storage location for the same? Should this not be a question to your business owner?

Providing a cost center and a storage location actually makes sense in case of purchasing of non-valuated but stock-managed materials.

While GR(MIGO) for consumption PO with account assigned PO of K- system will not prompt you enter storage location and you can save the material document.

Not sure why relationship needed with cost center and storage location but alternately you can try having GOITEM-LGORT(Storage Location) as required entry in OMJX t.code and save.. Now check system behavior during goods receipt with MIGO.
