Billing elements cannot be selected in WBS details.

When trying to edit mode on the SAP GUI screen, a message appears stating that you do not have permission to CJ02 T-Code.

How can I assign the Revenue attribute to the WBS element in the public version?

Please help me.

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, the traditional method of assigning the Revenue attribute to a WBS element—such as using transaction code CJ02—is not applicable, since GUI-based configuration access is restricted in the public cloud environment. Instead, revenue-related WBS elements are managed through predefined apps and configuration settings.

Key Differences from On-Premise

  • No access to CJ02 or CJ20N: These GUI transactions are not available.
  • Billing elements are not manually selectable in WBS details.
  • Revenue WBS elements are typically automatically created based on project structure and billing setup.

The recommended approach would be

In the Professional Services scenario, WBS elements ending in .0.1 are automatically created as billing elements. These are superior to expense WBS elements like .1.1, .1.2, etc. Revenue is posted to the billing WBS element when customer billing occurs.

To ensure revenue tracking, create separate billing items for each work package. This aligns the expense WBS with the billing WBS in a 1:1 relationship. Use the CDS view I_ENTERPRISEPROJECTELEMENT to verify hierarchy and attributes.
