How to Define Special Characters for Projects in Cloud

Hi Expert,

As per starter system, i found the node to "Define Project Coding Mask" in CBC and defined the below codes.

but didn't find the node to "define Special characters for Project" due to which i am not able to create new Project with defined Coding mask.

This is giving me below error.

Please guide me to find the node to configure the "define Special characters for Project" and Define Project Profile etc.

Hello Rajesh,

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud, there is currently no customizing available for "Define Special Characters for Projects" or "Define Project Profile".

Also, note that the Coding Masks defined in SSCUI 102881 - "Define Project Coding Mask" are defined for Enterprise Projects and not Customer Projects (as per your screenshot). Also note that any Project ID defined in SSCUI 102881 can then not be used in Customer Projects. The Configuration help states:

• The coding keys defined in this app prohibits you from creating any project names starting with this character in apps such as Create Customer Projects and Create Internal Projects.

I hope this clarifies the current behaviour.

Hi Rajesh,

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud, there is currently no customizing available for "Define Special Characters for Projects", the special characters for projects (Special Characters in Project Number) is delivered as part of standard content.

As previously informed by Brendan, the usage of Project Coding Mask SSCUI is not supported for customer projects.
