How to customize the SAP standard PDF 8D report for automotive?

Dear all,

I did find various posts about 8D report, but none of them did - from my understand - go into the details of the solution.

This SAP documentation states that in the standard of ECC there is something that can be used (as a base!?!) in order to create an automotive 8D report based upon a qualitify notification.

Part of the documentation says:

"You have defined the shop paper 8D_V (Create 8D Report Automotive) for the application area N with form QM_QN8D_REP_AUTO, in Customizing for Notification Processing under Print Control Define Shop Papers, Forms, Print Programs ."

Apparently there are a few mor fields to fill in:

- Output program

- Form routine

- Form (the 1st form field - it seems to be the second one that uses the QM_QN8D_REP_AUTO form)

Could anybody please help what to put in here as I can't seem to find the correct values.

Are you sure that this is in the "standard ECC"? The SAP documentation you are referencing to is the one from "SAP manufacturing execution 6.1".

Have you searched the SAP notes? There is also an old SCN question on this, it has some program names: https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/3167349
