Dear Team,

I need to create product hierarchy. Please advise the steps. When I use V/76, the 'Level No' is in "Display'. I need to create 6000 Product Hierarchies in Different Languages along with EN. Can we care recording for this transaction. But "level No' is Display mode, so can't input the level number

Any BAPI is there.

Ex:

081
08012
0801013
080101014

Thanks.

BR,
Srini

6000 hierarchies.... I have 17 empty lines in my V/76 transaction, this means I need to do 36 times copy and paste from Excel to the V/76 transaction to have all data there.

I call myself a professional in using LSMW,  there is almost no day in a year without using it, and still I would say that I am quicker with copy and paste than creating a LSMW object to load it via recording. I do not even want to think about a BAPI for that one-time-activity.

The level number is automatically set by SAP. SAP is smart enough to know the level based on the numbers entered. The only thing expected from you is to save the entries for a level before you can create entries for the next level.

If you had used the time between posting the question and getting my answer you would have finished already

Dear Jurgen,

1) Entered 08 and system took 1. Saved

2) Entered 0801 and system took 1. Saved    => Not correct. to be value is '2' , 2nd level

3) Entered 080101 and system raised error "Please create the preceding node first".  Message No. VC705"

Q1. 2nd level is incorrect as system took value 1 instead of 2.

Q2. Is this right steps that I'm doing. Or do i need to select the row '08' level and click on 'New entries' and input value '0801'.

Please advise.

you get the error in 3 because you have not created the second level.

And the second level is probably automatically defaulted to level 1 because you structure is not defined in a way as you expect it to be.

Have you tried 08010? Just to see if you get level 2 defaulted?

Show your setup.

Are you using a user exit? If I am not mistaken then this is required for hierarchies with more than 3 levels.

Dear Jurgen,

The current config is following SAP standard i.e 5/5/8 to get 1,2,3 levels.

But we need custom levels 1,2,3,4 for every 2/2/2/2  digits

Any advise. how to proceed on the steps.

Thanks.
