How to add new fields to decision table DT_CHANNELin Billing document application

Dear SAP consultants,

We are working on S4HANA 2023 and we have activated the new output management for Billing documents.

We have a requirement to find a way to specify in BP master data  the channels through with the output will be distributed to Customers – PRINT, IDOC, MAIL.

We have managed to add the new fields in  decision table CHANNEL (DT_CHANNEL) in the Billing document application (OPD_V3_BILLING_DOCUMENT) and also to the rules.

Although it is now possible to register a rule in OPD based on the new fields, the output channel is not determined and it seems the reason is the values for this fields are not correctly read from the business partner master data.

Has someone done similar task? 

We would be glad to get some advise on the issue.
