Hi,

I'm trying to add multiple email recipient inside the email notification section in a job in SM37.

Is there a way to add more than 1 email recipient in the same job? Or there's a limitation for only 1 recipient?

Unfortunately, there is a limitation in SAP S/4HANA that allows only one email recipient to be added for job notifications in transaction SM37. The system does not provide a built-in way to add multiple email recipients for a single job [1].

However, there are some potential workarounds you could consider:

  1. Create a distribution list: Set up a distribution list or group email address that includes all the desired recipients. Use this single email address as the recipient in SM37 [1].

  2. Custom ABAP program: Develop a custom ABAP program to modify the email recipient information for multiple jobs. This approach requires careful implementation and thorough testing [1].

  3. Individual job configuration: If you have a limited number of jobs, you may need to configure each job separately with different email recipients [1].

It's important to note that these limitations apply specifically to the job scheduling functionality in SM37. Other SAP modules or applications may have different capabilities for sending notifications to multiple recipients.

For example, in SAP SuccessFactors, it is possible to add multiple recipients when emailing resumes or CVs to other users within the company [2][3]. However, this functionality is specific to the SAP SuccessFactors module and is not applicable to the core S/4HANA job scheduling system.

If managing multiple email recipients for job notifications is a critical requirement for your organization, you may want to consider exploring third-party job scheduling tools that integrate with SAP S/4HANA and offer more flexible notification options.
