Within SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud environment, what are the options when it comes to adding additional fields to migration objects, such as "MM - Purchase order (only open PO)"?

Modifying migration objects is still a little bit more restrictive in Public Cloud scenarios when compared to their onPremise / private cloud counterparts.
From a pure data migration point of view, there are basically 2 options when it comes to extending existing migration objects:

One additional path that can be pursued has to do with "in-App extensibility" / "key-user extensibility". This is a more modern way of seeking customization of applications which, in turn, can reflect on the fields present in the respective migration XML template. More details in the following document:
