How to activate the sales BOM configuration in public cloud

We need to activate the sales BOM for Item category TAN , but we can not see the Bill of material configuration in " Configure Item Category"

The reason why you cannot see the BOM in “Configuration Item Category” is, the public cloud does not allow you to modify item category to enable Sales BOM functionality like you would in on-premise by setting structure scope or Explosion setting. This is a clean-core principle restriction.

You can enable Sales BOM functionality in public cloud by:

1. Using BOM- capable Item Category Groups to maintain the material master for the header product with the ERLA for your assembled BOM or LUMF to package your BOM
2. Using the Manage Bills of Materials App to create BOM
3. Ensuring you create correct Material Master Setting (Header Material in Sales: Sales Org view & Component Materials)
4. The system will the use item category instead of TAN automatically when BOM is exploded in sales order.
