Dear Customer,

Thank you for reaching out with your queries. I’m happy to provide clarification on both points you raised.

1. **Determination of Due Date for the "Check Renewal Rules" Task**
The Due Date for the BTM Task "Contract <Contract ID>, <Account> ends on <Contract End Date>." is maintained within the configuration settings of `Business Configuration Activity "Business Task Management for Contracts and Customer Returns` under Business Configuration - Overview. You can locate the active BTM Task titled "Contract <Contract ID>, <Account> ends on <Contract End Date>." The Due Date specified in this configuration determines the task Due Date.

2. **Functionality of Reminder Days Setting in a Contract**
The Reminder Days setting in a customer contract allows the system to automatically send a renewal task to the contract administrator prior to the contract's expiration. This task is triggered based on the number of days entered in the Reminder field. For instance, if you input 30 days, the system will notify the administrator 30 days before the contract ends. This notification enables the administrator to contact the customer for renewal or to discuss new terms.

I hope this addresses your concerns effectively. Please feel free to reach out if you need further assistance or clarification.

Dear Customer,

If the settings in the Fine Tuning Activity Business Task Management for Contracts and Customer Returns for the date is set as 60 Days before Contract End Date and the settings in the Reminder field of the Contract is set as 30 Days, then a reminder is sent on 60 days before the Contract End Date as this is the earlier date. However, if these were switched, it would be sent because of what is maintained in the reminder field, as this would be the earlier date.

The data maintained in the Business Configuration activity "Business Task Management for Contracts and Customer Returns" is what is considered always. In this activity, for the Activation Date, if you select the condition "Date and Time for Task Activation" then the Reminder days maintained in the Contract will be used. The system will check the Business Configuration settings when the contract is created or when the contract is renewed. The system will not send a reminder for a contract if nothing had been maintained in the Business Configuration when the contract first started or was last renewed. A change made in the Business Configuration afterwards will not be considered for the contract.

The task is only sent when the Contract Validity is Active.
