Hi Anne-Caroline,

raybaud

Always hard to judge the duration of the worktime of the others. I would say it does not look that bad. There are always many factors which influence duration, some large organizations tend to have a lot of "process steps" which make things move slow, some, on the opposite, do things to fast.. I would say it is a correct average. And depending on the DB size, DB type (is it SAP HANA already, or another one) , and which tables have a large size (if any), the real conversion including Simplification Item Checks will likely take more than one week.

200 days for PoC does not look over-rated or under-rated, if consultants have relevant knowledge. Of course, it depends on the scope of usage of your current ERP, if you onboard SAP Fiori from the beginning (key value of SAP S/4HANA) and if you include a bit of custom code adaption in the scope of your PoC. Remember Conversion is not upgrade. You will need application consultants of every area to work on the simplification items and do the post conversion steps (FI is the most known, but there are other areas with post-steps) This is a workload by itself.

Hope this helps.

Remember that if your company have an Enterprise Support maintenance contract (most companies are on Enterprise Support), we have plenty of enablement materials for you to consume as part of your maintenance contract. See for example blog from my colleague robert_heer_iii#overview:
